Awards
The Shire awards a Youth Bursary anually, a source of pride for the organisation since its inception in 2003.
The 12 month scholarship is awarded to an outstanding locally based year 12 graduating student who has an interest in community development, has intentions to progress onto tertiary studies and is willing to undertake gap year employment with the Shire.
The scholarship not only provides valuable life and work experience but allows the recipient to meet Tertiary Study related Commonwealth Youth Allowance requirements the following year.
