Welcome to the Margaret River Recreation Centre, a facility provided
by the Shire of Augusta-Margaret River for the benefit of the community. With
indoor heated swimming pools, an air conditioned gym, three multipurpose courts
and three squash courts we can satisfy all of your sporting and recreational
needs.

Swimming Pools
The Aquatic Centre has an indoor 8 lane 25 metre lap pool and a 120sqm
lagoon pool plus a water slide and sprays.
Both pools are heated to 28 degrees year round and the water is maintained
at the highest quality through the use of the latest technology in pool
sanitation.
Kickboards and fins are available to hire from reception.
Gym
Our air conditioned gym has everything you need for
a full workout, including free weights, pin loaded machines, cardio equipment
and fit balls.
Our qualified staff can perform fitness assessments and provide personalised
workouts. Please speak to reception for
more information.
Sport
If you are looking for a fun way to keep active while meeting new people,
check out some of the sports available at the Margaret River Recreation
Centre.

Group Fitness
Give you whole body a workout while having
fun and meeting new friends. Run
by qualified instructors our classes are suitable for all ages and fitness
levels.
Bodycombat: An exercise to music class combining moves
and stances from a range of self-defence disciples like karate, Tai Chi,
kickboxing and Tae Kwon Do into a fending, fighting routine.
Bodypump: quite simply the world’s most popular group fitness
program ever, Bodypump is a revolutionary weight training workout that
strengthens, tones and defines every muscle in your body.
Bodystep: the ultimate step workout and the world’s fastest
way to tone butts and thighs.
Water Workouts: By using the water to provide constant resistance,
our classes give you a workout without the impact forces associated with
many other forms of exercise.
Circuit Classes: Moving quickly between stations that
incorporate aerobic and resistance exercises, circuit training is one of
the most effective ways to reduce body fat, increase strength and improve
your body shape.
Accessible Facilities
Every effort has been taken to make
the Margaret River Recreation Centre accessible to all members of the community. This
includes having a beach entry to the pool, a submersible wheelchair, ramps,
automatic doors and multiple accessible change rooms.
After School Care
We offer a fully supervised service during the school term for students
aged 5 to 12 years.
Kids participate in a range of fun activities at the Recreation Centre
including crafts, games, sports, cooking, swimming and visits to the library
and parks.
We operate from 3.00pm to 5.30pm and will even collect your child from
local schools.
Joining After School Care costs from $10 per day and Child Care Benefits
do apply. (100% = $2.45/day)
Holiday Programs
During the school holidays kids aged 5 to 12 can join our exciting and
action packed holiday program.
Between 8:30 am and 5:30 pm kids will enjoy learning and playing a variety of
sports, take part in a range of fun craft activities, meet special guests
and go on a variety of excursions, such as bowling, roller skating, caving,
movies and Fun-o-rama.
All of our activities are fully supervised by our fantastic experienced
staff, ensuring that your child’s needs will be met while having
fun and making new friends.
A day with our holiday program costs $32 and Child Care Benefit is available. (100%
= $9.35/day)
