A mandatory integrated planning and reporting framework for Western Australian Local Government was introduced by the WA State Government in June 2013. In line with the framework, we have prepared and adopted plans to better plan for our future. The following documents are available for downloading on the website under Publications.
The Community Strategic Plan 2036 details the community vision for the future for our shire. It builds on our past strategic planning work, addresses the challenges we face and sets the key focus areas the Shire will work to over the next 20 years to achieve the vision.
Developing the community vision for 2036 extended over a twelve-month period, to include a Community Reference Group who conducted a major review of the plan through six key sessions over 2016-17. Visit Your Say to read the community engagement summary report and watch the journey of the community group who conducted the review.
The plan was adopted by Council on 27 September 2017 and will be integrated into the Informing Strategy throughout 2017-18.
View this plan by Key Result Area or by Business Unit.
Resourcing strategies are used to test and inform the long-term aspirations of the Community Strategic Plan and guide deliverables which can be achieved in the Corporate Plan and Operational Plan and Budget. These documents include:
