A key aspect of a safe community is the creation of local partnerships between community, government and non–government as well as business leaders that aim to combine resources, knowledge and capacities to address local concerns about the physical environment, injuries, antisocial behaviour and crime in a coordinated and sustained manner.
The Safer Communities Plan 2015-19 is provides a framework for the Shire, local community groups and key government agencies to implement initiatives that will improve community safety over a four year period.
This policy and plan is currently under review.
